Emma was great. She taught us about each of the materials we were using, what they were good for, tons of different ways to use them, lots of different drawing skills/techniques. I'm really happy with how it went and excited to keep playing with the things she taught us.

Farris (AKA the Twinkie with Legs) was one of the "dogs of my life." My daughter always wanted a corgi, and worked to save up the money to get her. And, of course, when my daughter went off to college, Farris became mine.

As I learn and grow in my work, I follow sparks of interest and inspiration. For this, I was enthralled with the work of Polina Bright. I love her use of emotion, color, light, and geometric shapes, so I used these elements as well.

This piece came to me as I was dreaming of laying on the banks of a clear, beautiful river. I could hear the water, and I could feel the colors of the trees and the sky. The serene feeling this vision created in my soul made me feel driven to try to convey it in colorful paints. As I put down the final layer of color, I realized that I brought this vision to life.

Title or Location: Summer afternoon in Parsley Bay
Painting (oil on canvas, 50x40cm) of Parsley Bay on a summer afternoon. Parsley Bay is a little oasis in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, not far from where I live. Few things are as refreshing as a dip there to cool off in the summer heat. As a self taught artist who grew up in the countryside in Sweden and moved to Sydney in 2009, I?ve always been fascinated by the turquoise waters and the gold coloured sandstone cliffs. There is so much beauty around Sydney harbour to be painted!

My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut
